Let's help farmers in Cagayan Valley get a fresh start after Typhoon Ompong/Mangkhut affected their crops and left them with zero profit.

This farmer is asking for government help after his crops were devastated during the typhoon. He said he only borrowed money as capital for his crops. Now with zero harvest, he's saying he has to borrow money again from the 'bodega' on top of what he owes, because he's gonna have to start all over again.
Unseen by most of us, it is always the farmers and fishermen that are heavily affected with all the socio-economic and climate changes. What we do know, however, is how they play a huge part in all of our food supplies.
As concerned citizens, we don't have to wait for the government and their help. We can do our part by donating any amount we can extend to these farmers, to ensure they will have the funds to start another farming season. Or at the very least, give them financial assistance until they're able to start again.
I am coordinating with Albert Lozada of Greenpeace Philippines. He was there documenting the Cagayan Valley farmers during the week of the typhoon. He will be the one to give the funds collected, and I will take care of the receipts and show everyone that the money was well received. And if we raise more money, we can help other farmers in Cagayan Valley, too.
Thank you for your kindness. Peace and blessings!
