Vishwalaya – a paradise for children, is an ashram in Ravgodlu village (Bangalore, India) where children are simply allowed to be children. It is a life sharing community for art, life and humanity.

Vinod Krishna, (father of ashram, trustee etc.) died abruptly on a road accident on August 18th 2018, since then various factions, corporations, spiritual centers are plotting how takeover the ashram for their own benefits since we (the remaining trustees) are unable to repay the loan our ashram had borrowed for its basic needs over period of 2 years.

By clearing the debts of CHF 8'455.00/- Vishwalaya can be saved from banks and elite rich from whom Vinod Krishna had borrowed money to run ashram. Your contributions will help Vishwalaya in managing economic crises triggered by death of our trustee and our kids can stay curious/innocent living with us at the ashram.

About the Ashram:
Vishwalaya
came into being in 1984 when Ram Ram, a 69yr old wayfarer with his wife Devakiamma, decided to settle in the hills of Ravgodlu village and start an ashram he called “Paradise for Children”.
Children from difficult background lack the support and opportunity a family provides, which limits their exposure, this renders them incapable of making choices.
Our Ashram is a shelter for such children:
1. who get home and secure space to live and experience a holistic childhood.

2. Financial security to invest in skills/education of their interest, instead of forced schooling. For us, education means, an understanding of what to do in order to be happy in body and mind, it also meant being able to understand how to heal self.

3. We focus on life skills + theater as a medium to compensate the diverse learning space created by a family structure rooted in our cultural practices.

Ram Ram died in early 2000, since then his son Vinod Krishna, took over responsibilities of ashram by registering Vishwalaya as a legal NGO / trust and in his 18 years he transformed it into ‘universal temple’ by prioritizing theater, arts, life skills over forced education.

In its 34 years of existence Vishwalaya has a legacy of over 1000 children living with us at some point of their lives. At present, we have 7 girls and 6 boys (between 6 to 19 yrs) 2 women with mental disabilities (27 and 31 yrs) who are directly affected by crisis. From inception, our ashram is shy of ‘asking for donations’ as our requirements are minimal and we are taken care by nature and well-wishers who continue to support us.

Please visit our www.vishwalaya.org.in for more information about Vishwalaya and for any questions or further information contact Mudassar Ahmed +91 96111 00192 or Jessica Christen +41 79735 4377 (whatsapp).

We are thank you from all our hearts for helping us save Vishwalaya, which isn't just a trust but brings stability, identity and a home to so many children adults alike.
