Help Virginia Moncayo’s DIALYSIS – suffering from kidney failure

Hi! My name is Aly and I'm from the Philippines. I've decided to create this fundraiser in behalf of my friend, Sheen Moncayo, whose mom has been suffering from kidney failure -- meaning two of her kidneys are no longer working. Her mother, Virginia Moncayo, is fifty years old and she is the mother of three children (Sheen, 26, Lhoyd, 16, Dwight, 11) and has been a loving mother to them for all these years.

Due to financial problems, she hid her suffering for a long time and had never spoken or mention it to them at all. But last week her body has given up, she has been admitted to a hospital but was advised to be operated right away and undergo a dialysis treatment. In the Philippines (specifically in Cebu), it's impossible for Virginia to get admitted to the hospital straightaway because of a down payment fee. (Unless, if it's really an emergency according to the hospital standard) and currently, the total expenses of her stay in the hospital was 26,000 PHP. However, thanks to Sheen's friends and relatives, she managed to pay for the first week of her mom's dialysis.

But it's not enough.

A dialysis is a replacement for her kidneys and it can be used within a short time. And it's usually costly as a dialysis treatment takes every 2 sessions a week (P 8000.00 ). And without the dialysis, a person won't last without it. And it's best for her to undergo an operation as soon as possible to save Virginia. They couldn't have used any insurance from both Phil Health and the government is due to her being a housewife straight-up after marriage.

Sheen is the breadwinner of the family since her younger brothers are still young. She has been working so hard with two jobs now. (yet, it's not enough given that her main source of income only gave her 15-16k per month and her online job barely gave her anything to provide and her father doesn't have a permanent job).

That's why I wanted to create this fundraiser to help raise awareness for hardworking daughters like Sheen and to help her mom, her pillar of support, get better and live longer to see Sheen cherish her life without regrets..
