Tanzania Medical Centre

As healthcare students wanting to progress on to a nurse degree, we have decided to take the challenge of a lifetime and help people in Arusha, Tanzania.

We will be placed within Mother Medical Care centre that provides general medical consultation labour & delivery, obstetrics & gynecology, anti-natal clinic, well-man clinic, newborn care and immunisations for general patients. 

Our placement will be 3rd August until 17th August.  We will travel from Dundee, Scotland to Kilimanjaro, Africa before travelling to our accomodation in Arusha.  Our placement starts 9am Monday morning. 

Within our placement we will be shadowing doctors and dealing with their patients in different areas within the setting.  We are looking to express our own knowledge when dealing with patients, as well as learn from them.

We need to raise a maximum of £3000 in donations.  This would assist us to travel to Tanzania and enable us to support the local people of Arusha whilst gaining valuable experience that not many people get the opportunity to do.
