Help flood victims

My name is Chukwunulu Chinedu.Sunday.I hail from the south-eastern part of Nigeria.I work with a Non-governmental organization and I am also a philanthropist with a passion to help the needy.My project is aimed at helping flood victims in Nigeria to get a living.Flooding near Aguleri town in Anambra state,south-eastern Nigeria worsened significantly when a dam on the Aguleri river failed.Villages below the dam have been flooded and tens of thousands of people have been displaced.Their homes and properties has been destroyed by flood.These internally displaced individuals have been settled in a camp with limited food,water,shelter and health services.Roads are submerged,making it difficult to access the full impact of the floods.I would describe my project as "LIFE RESUSCITATING AND ALLEVIATING OF SUFFERING". The current situation of these refugees is unbearable and its getting worst day by day.Currently,there has been limited shelter and an epidemic of guinea-worm,malaria and kwashiokor.This is due to lack of good portable water to drink,infestation of mosquitoes as the camp is inhabitable and lack of nutritional food.These refugees are facing a lot challenges and hardship.Children are dying rapidly,suffering from kwashiokor and had long stopped going to schools because their schools were affected by flooding.I intend to supply these refugee camps with foods,toiletries,good portable water,provide them with health services and facilities,such as drugs,vaccines to control the epidemics,construct homes,schools and employ teachers that will teach the children.This will alleviate their sufferings.Children are the future leaders of tomorrow and needs to be educated.Their cries for food and desire to go back to school prompted me into doing more to help them.Constructing schools for these children is a necessity as it will help curb crime and illiteracy in the community.I have been doing this within my capacity but due to my burning desire to help these helpless and dying children and their families has made me to want to do more.I raised funds through good spirited individuals and donated 70 per cent of my salary to them.The situation is getting worst as the government has over-looked these refugees and some of them were maimed and left,incapacitated.The project will go a long way in alleviating their sufferings,providing education for the children,providing them with good health services and facilities,constructing homes for them and providing them with acquisition skills and trainings.This project needs to be handled urgently with great importance to avoid the remaining children from dying and to alleviate hardship.This will help resuscitate their lives and give them hope in life again.
