Hi to everybody,
I would like to share with you my ambitious travel project: 30000 km, riding on a scooter alongside the European coast.
Twenty-six countries in 100 stages, 4 months driving only along county roads, passing through some capitals, secondary towns and a lot of villages along the European coast. From south to North and the again towards South until completing the whole circumnavigation of Europe, having as the only main reference point its seas: the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea. Riding on slowly between 300 and 500 km per day, almost 4-7 hours per day riding on my scooter and sleeping in a tent.
From warm and sunny Spain to cold North Cap, passing through towns, villages, semi-desert lands, dense woods, deep lakes, snowy mountains, windy dunes and gorgeous cliffs; from the silent and dense Scandinavian woods and its hyper-modern cities to rural and less-known lands such as Rumania and Bulgaria; from the cradle of democracy and art in Greece to the cradle of Renaissance in Italy. Observing day by day how landscape as well as culture and language change. I speak different European languages and this will be the right occasion to know different people in a different way from all over Europe
With this project I would like to try inspiring people to a different way of travelling, slowly, without rush and to show hidden places and aspects of an unknown or less-known Europe because I reckon, the most important is the way and not the destination. This trip is not only about showing Barcelona or Lisbon, Amsterdam or Copenhagen, but also La Rochelle and Saint-Nazare, Skagen and Rügen as well as Siracusa or Otranto, Iasi or Podgorica.
The funds will cover fuel, accommodation, scooter equipment, weather equipment and food cost.
In my trip I would like to dedicate every stage to each person who has helped me to achieve my goal(of course, I will respect the decision of those who would like to protect their privacy and do not like their name appears on my Facebook page. Every stage will have the names of those who have helped me to complete it and you can follow my trip through my photos posted on my Facebook page.
Four months riding on a scooter will be not always easy. I am sure I will cope with hard days especially those which do not offer the best weather conditions, as well as I am sure I will go through sunny and unforgettable days. For this reason, I call to all people who believe my dream is also their dream, my project is also their project, to those who believe in slow travelling and to those who believe travelling is always possible.
I will fully and really appreciate any help to fulfill my project.
Thanks a lot to everybody
