2022 Storytelling & Book Giving Campaign: 10,000 Story Books for Children in the Philippines

Children need stories more than ever. Stories help them traverse difficult emotions by labeling them, understanding that emotions are normal, knowing that others may be going through the same feelings as they are, and giving them hope that things can be better. Simply being able to identify what they feel can make things less confusing and stressful for children.

Lakbay-Kuwentuhan is a storytelling adventure. We travel to bring storybooks to children in the hope of reaching those that need them most. We make stories come alive in the minds of children through effective and interactive storytelling - to take them to places both wondrous and new. We live to tell stories.

Our advocacy started in 2005 and has resulted in several programs and success stories. We have told stories to more than 30,000 children, distributed more than 20,000 books, trained more than 10,000 teachers, students, and volunteers, and inspired other individuals to establish their own reading advocacy groups in different parts of the country.

This year, we aim to bring 10,000 more storybooks to children across the Philippines. We will distribute accumulated books every month. Help us in this goal to reach more than 10,000 students and 40 public schools!
