Dear pilots and aviation enthusiasts,

I am very pleased that you have landed on my donation page.

My name is Jan Peter, I am 30 years old and live near Hamburg with my wife, son and dog.

First, let me say that you will not find a great video here. So this is my story in a nutshell: I want to become a professional pilot since I was 7 years old. But flying in Germany is very expensive and since the financial resources are not available, I am looking for people who understand and share my passion.

If the above quote applies to you, please read on. If not, that's fine too. But maybe you know someone who can be considered as a supporter and with whom you can share my project. I would be very happy about that.

As already said I want to be a pilot since childhood. For years, I dreamed of becoming an airline captain one day and steering the 747 across the Atlantic. But this does not fit into my life as a husband and father anymore.

Although flying in Germany is far from being as normal as in other countries, there are other ways to earn money with it. You can make sightseeing flights, drop parachutists or become a certificated flight instructor!

That's exactly the job I want to do because I can help other people and at the same time do what I love. Flight instructors are currently in great demand in Germany.

At the beginning of a flying career there is always the question of financing:

1. You have the money yourself - not true
2. Your parents or relatives have the money - not true
   
3. You take out a loan - declined
   
4. Find people who support your passion - in progress
   

• PPL - $ 17,500 (I collect for this)
• hour building (100h) - $ 22,000
• ATPL theory - $ 4,500
• IFR training - $ 22,000
• CPL training - $ 8,000
• Flight Instructor training - $ 10,000
• Total: $ 84,000
  

If I can raise the money for the whole training, that would be sensational. And if I can only collect a contribution to the PPL, I would be overwhelmed. Because then I really could start my aviation adventure.

So that's it. No dull talk, no bad tricks! Only one last attempt to finally get the plane to rotate. :-)
