Žygis pėsčiomis aplink mūsų šalį „Už Švarią Lietuvą!“

„For Clean Lithuania" is the first 1200 km hike around Lithuania lasting 80 days, during which garbage found along the way will be collected. Over the course of the hike we will invite communities to look at their environment and public spaces differently. We will also encourage to revive unused or broken items instead of throwing them away.

This year the European Commission has launched the European Green Course. Its goal is to make Europe a climate-neutral continent till 2050. The problem of waste and pollution is one of the biggest challenges not only for Europe but for the whole world. The Green Course establishes the idea of a sustainable planet, but we will only be able to make it into reality if we tackle the problem of waste in our communities together. Therefore, we have joined forces with the European Commission Representation in Lithuania and invite everyone to contribute to the creation of a more cohesive and sustainable planet.

The aim of this hike is to draw the public's attention to the problems caused by over-consumption and its impact on our planet. We will analyse the collected waste, divide it into categories of the most frequently found waste, and then invite the public, businesses and state institutions to work together to find solutions for the prevention of this.
