Message from GoGetFunding: Please can the campaign owner contact us regarding this campaign. We have discovered a technical issue with this fundraiser and wish to resolve it for you as quickly as possible, so that you can continue to receive donations.

Philadelphia's Family To Family is planning to become an established non profit in early 2014. In January, 2014 we became a charitable organization. 100 families were able to get donations from PFTF just by using social media and also through word of mouth. On 12/9/13, I created a page on Facebook spreading the word on my cause and I have already prepared and given donations to many local families in need through my Philadelphia's Family To Family page. I want to be able to help all of these families but in order to make Philadelphia's Family To Family an established non profit, I need to raise money so that I can continue to help all the families that are contacting me asking for help. Philadelphia's Family To Family is my passion and I am working every single day in order to get donations and also on preparing donations for families in need. I wasn't going to share my own story but I decided that I want to. In early September, I almost lost my life. I was doing a normal every day task- watering my plants on my roof deck, and I somehow fell through a skylight and dropped 22ft. I don't remember anything except waking up in the ICU. The doctors told me I should have died from the fall. I had two subdural hematoma's and brain hemmoraging. The first 2-3 weeks after my near death experience were extremely hard for me. I was scared, in pain, and didn't know if I would ever recover. I had support from my family and my incredible boyfriend which I'm forever grateful for. But what got me out of bed every day, was wanting to help all these babies. What makes me want to succeed in my physical therapy, is helping all these families. Having something positive to focus on when your whole entire life throws you a curve ball is what I needed, and Philadelphia's Family To Family is my medicine. It's what gives me the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have a long road ahead of me with the brain injury but nothing will stop me from helping these families in need with babies. I want to clarify why I started a Gofundme. This is not for me, it's so that I can continue to help all the families with babies. I don't have a job right now. I have no income. My job right now is to heal from my brain injury and to help all the families I can in need with the help of other people donating baby items to me. I am so blessed by all the people who have donating baby items to me. Now that I have a second chance at life, there is nothing more in this world than I want than to establish PFTF as a non profit. Donations accepted: new/gently used clothing from preemie-2T, diapers (packaging can be open), unscented wipes, 4oz bottles, 8oz bottles, bottle nipples, bottle brushes for cleaning, formula, burp cloths, breast pumps and accessories (including nursing covers for breast feeding, breast milk storage bags or containers, nursing bras and clothing), hats, socks, hand mittens, booties, shoes for infants and toddlers size 10 and under, bibs, feeding utensils, baby food, sippy cups, baby bullets other homemade baby food makers and accessories, receiving blankets, swaddles, sleep sacks, sleep gowns, boppys and nursing pillows, bouncy seats, bumbos, pacifiers, teethers, activity play mats, infant toys (rattles, musical toys, and soft toys), developmental toys, puzzles, board books, soft sensory books, white noise sound machines, baby monitors, parenting/baby books, diaper bags, accessories for diaper bags (such as travel formula containers, travel wipe containers, diaper changing pads), baby toiletries (baby shampoo, baby wash, lotions, diaper rash creams, etc), first aid items (thermometers, petroleum jelly, nail clippers and files, etc), childproofing products, pack and plays, sheets for pack and plays, cradles, bassinets, sheets for cradles and bassinets, cosleepers, strollers, baby-wearing infant carriers (ergo, moby, baby bjorn, etc), infant tubs, infant towels and washcloths, infant robes, seasonal clothing (such as jackets, bundle me's, winter bundles and buntings, lightweight coats for spring/summer, etc), cloth diapers and accessories for them, organic baby items, baby laundry detergent, and anything else a baby needs to be happy, healthy, and thrive.
