US$1,075.00raised of $1,000.00 goal
Hello everyone, this fundraiser has been started on the behalf of Zoey Mphahlele. She is a 23 year Queer female who has been living in the streets and shelters for the past 4 years of her life. When we met her she was in a pretty devastating state. She had not been eating regularly and had grown relatively thin because of her condition, this being pushed by her depression and poor living circumstances. She has never taken drugs and used to drink but that was before she was kicked out for being a "burden".
The goal of this campaign is to help Zoey slowly but gradually get back on her feet in this new year. We as a community would like to help her find an affordable place to stay and if we reach the goal, that would help her possibly pay for 3 months rent in advance(for a cheap but safe place), assist her in purchasing inventory to start selling products that will help her earn a living and also afford her a new cellphone which she will use to help her build a network online of people that are good for her and that will help her gain access to more opportunities than she has available right now.
We managed to get her brother to send pictures of her back then as she asked for her current state not to be shown to the world. We hope we can help change her life for the better.
