Campaign Story
Hi everyone :)
On one (hopefully) sunny summer afternoon I will be abseiling down an abseiling wall, purpose built in 1069... Just kidding... it's a Cathedral! It is over 50 metres (160ft) high and one of the oldest buildings in the country, which is why some of the money raised will be going towards it's repair :)
The other charities I will be fundraising for are:
1. Taste for Adventure - A local charity that supports outdoor activities for underprivileged children (http://www.tasteforadventure.co.uk/page.php?page_id=3)
2. British Heart Foundation - As I'm sure you all know this charity do incredible work for people in their hour of need, as personally hit home when my mum was recently diagnosed with a heart condition; and without continuing research this work would not be able to help people when they need it most. 3. FARM Africa - A charity that helps people grow their way out of poverty and out of hunger for good. The education and services they provide are invaluable to the people that they reach, a fit and healthy working equid can increase a family's income by up to 500% Enough to stop a family going hungry again. Reasons why I am doing this:
1. I am a little crazy.
2. These charities are all extremely worthwhile causes that I would love to help and donate to and I hope that you do too :)
3. The cathedral is actually one of the NICE things about Hereford and it would be a shame to see it fall into disrepair
