Ziva’s Medical Bills

This is really difficult for me because I hate asking for help, but we are in dire need. I have swallowed my pride and decided that if I don't ask, I won't receive. Today our girl Ziva broke her leg (femur) by slipping in between some stairs in our back garden. Her back leg got stuck in a gap between the deck and the first step as she was going down the stairs. Her weight snapped the bone. I immediately rushed her to the vet because I thought she had dislocated her hip, but x-rays showed the break. The vet has given a good prognosis if they do surgery. I told them to go ahead with the procedure even though we don't have the money to cover the cost. They estimate the final bill will be plus or minus R10,000, which is just over $600. I couldn't let my girl suffer in pain so I told them to go ahead and do the surgery.

Long story short, that is why I have decided to try and raise some funds to help us out. I hate, hate, hate doing this because I don't like asking for help and I don't like feeling like I owe people. Giving gifts is one of my love languages, but I have a hard time receiving them. However, I don't know what else to do at this point. I am totally helpless and willing to try anything to help my Ziva.
