Campaign Story
CCIF Malta and Cross Culture Foundation Zimbabwe undertake diverse Citizen Initiatives aimed at helping communities cope with disaster. We also deliver and facilitate projects and programs on preventative human trafficking. CCIF Malta got a donation of 36 000 pieces of PPE for Zimbabwe through our last appeal for COVID-19 Aid for Zimbabwe. However, the PPE needs to be delivered to Zimbabwe.DHL Malta has quoted €2,500.00 in freight charges.
Raison d'etre/ The Cause
The Covid-19 Pandemic has not spared Zimbabwe a country that is currently suffering dire economic hardships. Since early 2000, the health system in Zimbabwe has been deteriorating and as the pandemic hits the already vulnerable Country, further strain is placed on an ailing healthy system.
This fundraiser aims to transport the PPE for distribution to Frontline Health care professionals in Zimbabwe.
Transparency and Administration of funds raised
All the money raised and resources acquired through this campaign, will be administered by the CCIF Malta and the equipment will be distributed through CCFZ Board of directors, Chaired by Pastor Peter Mabasa. All appropriate strategies, including keeping of proper accounts, will be put in place for the transparent accounting of every cent raised, in keeping with CCIF Malta's ethics of financial conduct for funds raised in all it's European Union funded initiatives.
Who we are in brief
WHO IS CCIF - Malta
CCIF Malta is a registered NGO/Voluntary Organisation in Malta based in Paola registration number VO/0628.
Our voluntary Organisation was registered in June 2012. We have informally helped people in Zimbabwe culminating in the extension of our work through the registration of a formal PVO in Zimbabwe Called Cross Culture Foundation Zimbabwe – CCFZ PVO08/2017 in 2017. Apart from helping during times of disasters in Zimbabwe we are involved in preventative human trafficking awareness, advocacy, training and education, identification, rescue and restoration of victims of trafficking.
All the activities entail us working actively in and within communities in Zimbabwe. Our work is based on Christian values, ethos and principles
CCIF has successfully implemented more than 10 EU and locally funded projects more information can be seen from the following links https://www.facebook.com/ccifmt/ Cross Culture International Foundation TV Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkXfB8AZNWMTqFQVV...
Who I Am
My name is Alec Douglas Bvumburah currently residing in Malta. I am chairman and Founder of CCIF Malta and also a founding member of Cross Culture Foundation Zimbabwe – CCFZ. I have overseen previous fundraising campaigns for the devastating cyclone IDAI and 2 yrs ago a successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funding for our human trafficking victim restoration program.
Why Zimbabwe, why now ?
This pandemic comes at a time when CCFZ was scheduled to launch its HT preventative awareness campaign in Harare. Above all else, the well being and safety of our community takes precedence and as an organization, CCFZ has taken the decision to channel its time and resources towards meeting the immediate urgency brought about by the pandemic. To better assist us with the capital campaign, we have put together key people across countries, while we are in the process of setting up the corporate structure for this entity.
Thank you for your support in cash. Every cent counts. Together we can make a difference. To follow the progress of this work, please follow us on Fb, Twitter etc
