ZEN´S open heart surgery

My youngest son Zen, now 5 years old, was born with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. He needs an open heart surgery to return the Aorta to its original place and patch the hole that is left by it between the two chambers of the heart. This surgery must be done early in life, or in our case as soon as diagnosed.

Zen had a previous temporary surgery a year and a half ago to provide adequate blood flow to the lungs and help the right chamber of the heart recover its thickness so the complete repair could be done later (this next surgery) with a little bit less risk.

On the 16th of July he was meant to be hospitalized and wait there until the day of the surgery, but it was postponed until the 6th of November. By that date I have to raise 6000 dollars for the intervention (which was announced the 1st of June 2018) plus his stay in the hospital, which is around a month if everything goes well, and any extra medical charges in this time plus my pay stay and transportation.

We live in the Oaxaca coast of Mexico (12 hours by road from here) in a small town called Mazunte, which depends on seasonal tourism. We are now in Tepoztlan, a small town near Mexico city where my mother lives so we can be close to the National Cardiology Institute for the previos check ups and waiting for the day. That is one of the main reasons that makes it hard for me to get the money we need.

I am a single mother with two children that have had excellent lives. Zen has a beautiful free happy spirit and has a beautiful way of looking at life. He is willing to live and has a lot of strength in him that makes him a survivor and a great warrior.

If you can help us raise what is needed for Zen to continue a healthy beautiful life its going to be overly appreciated. Time is not on our side as I explained so we have very little time to get the money for this.
