Zara Wigg – your friends are here for you

Today we all lost an incredible man, Leigh Wigg; friend, mate, musician, and dedicated conservationist and zoo animal manager. However, in our grief we need to reach out to our amazing friend Zara, who has lost her best friend, her husband, the father of her children, and her soul mate. Jamie, Hannah and Terena have lost their father, and we can only begin to imagine their grief.

Zara and her family need our shoulders to cry on, and our love and hugs to keep them strong. But like most other things in life, even grief is not free. The loss of a loved one comes with many unexpected or unplanned expenses, and re-building your life after such a tragedy takes guts. Unfortunately time is really the only true healer, and whilst we can't do anything about the time (Zara's already got the guts; we know you do darlin'), we can do something about the money. Zara and her family need our help to make sure this tragedy passes into time without creating any financial holes to accompany the holes they have already felt in their hearts.

Please dig into your pockets - as deep as you can, but remember that every little bit counts. The minimum pledge is £1 - and if that's as much as you can give, please give it. The circle of friends around Zara is big enough to make sure that each of your £'s adds up to a great deal of support. The target on this site is arbitrary - whatever we can raise will go to Zara. If by some miracle we reach our target before the end of this fund-raiser, just keep going and we'll be able to give Zara and her family even more support!
