Zambia Volunteering September 2019

Hi folks,

George and Sile will be volunteering in Livingstone, Zambia this month (September) to help teach kindergarten kids and also be involved in construction work! We are going with International Volunteers HQ who work in partnership with the local charitable organisation Dream Livingstone Zambia.

This local charitable organisation provides assistance to children from very disadvantaged backgrounds and as most of you might know Julie (our daughter) volunteered with this project in January of this year and had firsthand experience of the good work they are doing in many areas. This programme helps to change these children's lives through education from a young age.

We want to make as positive an impact on these children as possible. Having mentioned to many of you that we were going out to Zambia it was suggested that others would also like to help out this worthwhile project so we have decided to do a small amount of fundraising before we go. All funds raised will go towards the purchase of basic school supplies, reading books, building blocks, educational toys, etc and any other areas that the project itself feels would benefit from additional funds . Any donation at all will be HUGELY appreciated and will hopefully go a long way in helping the children.
