Zambia IDEALS Project 2014

In the summer of this year (August-September) i, along with 3 other students from Durham university and other students from Wallace group universities, will be travelling to Zambia for 6 weeks.

Over in Zambia we aim to give the children the time of their lives through the delivery of Sport alongside educating them on healthy living (all voluntary). As many of you may not know, Zambia is not like England, the opportunity to perform in sport, the facilities, the equipment, are all less evident.

Zambia also has many children and adults who suffer from HIV/AIDS which is what we as a 'team' will be educating while we are over there. The plan from now is to raise as much money as possible to allow equipment to be bought and transferred over to this less privileged country for us to use when coaching, and finally leaving it behind for them to use.

Fundraising challenges and events will take place, please feel free to suggest some.
