We are trying to raise money for our friend Yuriy so that he can receive the medical care that he deserves.

Hear his story below, as told by his wife:

"Hi, my name is Margarita Anosova,

I am 33 years old, and I live in Prague. We have been living in Prague for over three-years now after my husband, Yuriy, moved here from Ukraine, from the Donbass region because of the war that broke out in our home country. My husband brought me to Prague because he had already lived and worked here for some time. When I came here, everything was going well and we adjusted well to our new lives. But after we had lived here for little less than a year, my husband fell from great height and broke his spine. He was working on a construction site installing roofing sheets. One day, my husband's team were asked to finish another crew's work - it wasn't actually their project, they were just trying to fix someone else's work. They were told to work on a particular section of the roof and finish the work. He was the first one from his crew to go on the roof, and he stepped on the sheets that weren't properly fixed in place and he fell over 10-meters onto a concrete slab and broke his neck and thoracic spine, and since then we have been fighting for his life, trying to live with his injuries and looking for treatments. This happened when I was 4 months pregnant and from that point on began a very difficult time in our lives.

When the accident happened, the doctors said that my husband's injuries were so severe, that he most likely wouldn’t survive. He had a lot of internal injuries, and his spine was fractured in several places. It's been two and half years since then, and he has been completely paralyzed. I went to the hospital every day, talked to doctors, and every day it was one piece of bad news after another. They said the injuries were too serious and that he wouldn't survive. Despite that, two and a half years later his condition remains the same but he's stable. Unfortunately, the doctors' verdict is that he will never be able to move again.

God is more important than ever for us right now. When the doctors gave up, and when no one else can help, that's when we started to realize how important God is, and our faith in Him provides us with hope. When we started seeking God, both me and my husband started seeing that He is really helping us. I started meeting people who support me in various ways, and God helps my husband Yuriy. He kept him alive and we hope that there is a reason for that, if God decided to give him his life, there is a purpose behind that. And we believe, especially my husband who asks God every day, and we believe that this is all temporary that the Lord won't leave us and will continue to help and support us. "

Several months ago, a team of missionaries visited Yuriy in hospital and prayed for his healing. Miraculously he has began to regain movement in his upper body and is now able to prop himself up with his elbows. However, his movement in his fingers and lower body have not yet returned to him, but he does have some sensation of touch in his feet.

Yuriy is currently in a room with three elderly dying men, with little interaction or visitors, no television, wi-fi, or source of entertainment. Despite all this he remains hopeful and has been an inspiration to all who have visited him. He works hard on his rehabilitation exercises and believes that God will fully restore and heal him.

We are standing with Yuriy in prayer, and are confident that a mighty miracle will come to pass. But we also believe that God may want us to help in the process by raising medical funds for Yuriy so he can receive quality rehabilitation treatment. Because of the nature of his accident, he has received no compensation and wasn't covered by insurance. Therefore, they are facing the financial difficulties alone as a family, and Margarita unable to work until their son is old enough to attend nursery. Therefore, we would like to raise as much money as possible for Yura to cover his past and future medical bills.

If you are able, please help Yuriy and his family.
