Okay, so a white 'homeless' kitty (who I have dubbed Yukiko, aka Snow Child) was handed to me by the elder woman who owns the shop nearby where I live. She said the cat kept coming there every single day and was very friendly but would never really leave and would go in and out even when the place was locked up. The trouble is this kitty never seemed to go home and when I got a good look at her she seems a bit underweight. This tell me shes likely lost but has a home.
I have two cats myself and can't afford to get her checked out by a vet to make sure shes not sick, which she does seem to have some issues with her back legs or her hips with the way she walks on them.
I wanna make sure shes not sick for the sake of my own two kitties(don't worry, shes being kept separate from them but I still wanna be safe since I have to go in to look after her), but also wanna make sure shes not sick in case I can't find her pet parent so I can let whoever wants to take her in know if theres any issues with her.
I need the funds to look after her as well until I can either find her a permanent home or her pet parents.
Please help me to look after this sweet girl, shes such a loving kitty and I don't wanna have to just stuff her in a shelter if I can find her pet parents or a loving home myself. I just don't really have the funds for this right now. I'm gonna see about other ways to handle this too and if I find any I will close this down and let everyone know. But right now I really need the extra money to help look after this lovely lady.
If you're an animal lover and wanna help this lovely little lady, then please donate what you can, even if its only a dollar. Every little bit helps~. The sad truth is if I can't afford to take care of her while shes here, I'm going to have to bring her to a shelter instead and with her age guesstimated to be on the older side and with hip issues I just don't see that ending up well for her. So please... help me help her.
For those of you who have, then thank you SO much! There isn't really many generous people anymore nowadays so I'm very grateful and very thankful for your willingness to help me aide this sweet, sweet girl.
- I spoke with the vet today on how much things would cost to handle getting her checked for any deadly sicknesses, as well as check out her hip issue and get testing done to see if that is hip dyspepsia... and it would come out to me needing at least $115.00 so thats not gonna be for a bit if at all...
- I called the woman who fostered my kitten before I got him to see if she could take him and she said not only is she full up, but they foster up to around 100 cats at a time. But to call her once a week to see if they have an opening.
- I also spoke to my mail carrier who drives on the street where she was around and asked if she knew who the owner was, hoping she might and from what she says the cat is just an absurdly friendly stray and theres a bunch of strays that live out there. I hope this is the case because it means I will feel less bad about finding her a new home... of course, this also means my finding a place for her is also her only chance, which can't be done right away.
- The shelters I contacted are all too full to take her and the only one who WOULD can only do so after helping look for her owners after one week. Otherwise, they can't and the e-mail I tried to send to ask them to do this never went through. Apparently, it was a bad e-mail...
This funding is going to be needed now more than ever as I'm not sure how long she'll be staying here for and if I want any chance at all of convincing my folks to ease up on her staying here, I'll need the support, otherwise I don't know what will happen to her...
