Youtube Channel Starter

Hi guys! My names Josh and I'm a gamer, have been all my life. I have never been a real socialite, but not too long ago I had some inspiration to start up a youtube channel. I have never had the money to get any good recording/editing equipment so I have never been able to start anything up.My idea for the Youtube channel is a gaming/lets play channel that, once a week puts a poll up so the viewers can choose a cause, and that the channel will donate x amount (the amount will depend on how many people their are on the channel/polling) The money donated will come from my pocket, this is why I have come to this site to try and get donations to purchase the equipment I would need to get started.
