Yo Voy a Ti Foundation Bolivia in 2013 opened up a sister organization in Kampala, Uganda which is currently working with children and youths living in urban poverty around Kampala's slums. We have successfully implemented our first football project to motivate many young children towards living fruitful lives, and building their life and social skills. Great thanks go out to all of you that were with us when we were starting in Uganda.
Now we are looking to engage the very eager youths in our project. Majority of the youths in Kampala's slums are unemployed, uneducated and are living in poverty. They have no opportunities to engage in any sort of formal employment and most informal jobs are not secure or do not guarantee any source of financial sustainability.
The project therefore seeks to engage these unemployed young people in an entrepreneurship and vocational skills development program that is mainly intended to make them entrepreneurial and self-reliant for both them and their households. The basic idea is to give them training in crafts-making in items such as jewellery, shoes, bags e.t.c. Yo Voy a Ti will make sure that these products are marketed well both locally and internationally and proceeds will go to the beneficiaries to start up their own income generating activities.
To realize this goal, we need to raise 1860 USD and are therefore seeking for your financial support. We believe that we can impact many people’s lives through this project and call upon you to be a part of this great project. Any amount of donation is highly appreciated If you prefer to make a direct money transfer to our account, please contact us at [email protected] for more information about this.
