We are looking for your help to assist our youth in South Africa with entrepreneurial skills while still at school and university. The aim is to purchase the "Start up" board game from the US based company "Start up Games" which teaches the basics of entrepreneurship.

We plan to teach as many school children as possible but will start with a group of 180 youth at the launch to be held late in August, 2016 sponsored by our government. The game plays 4 people at a time, meaning we need to purchase 45 games in order for 180 youth to play at one time at the launch. The cost of one board game is $39.95, excluding shipping, 40% customs in South Africa and 14% VAT - a total of just under $3000. This is a huge amount for us as a non profit, most especially since our exchange rate is currently R15 to $1.

Youth entrepreneurship is not taught to our school children in South Africa. They are taught that when they graduate from school or university they should look for a job. However with an unemployment rate of over 30%, mostly youth, finding a job has become virtually impossible. Our youth need to be taught that they need to take care of their own future and not rely on others to provide this for them. They will need to become entrepreneurs in order to survive. Our unemployment amongst youth has turned to crime and drugs in desperation.

BPW South Africa is a branch of the International Federation of Business & Professional Women - the largest non profit businesswomen's organisation in the world, founded in the USA. We have over 100 branches on 5 continents. Countries include USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, etc.

Your assistance will not only help our youth with potential income, but also ensure that they become part of the South African economy, thereby also reducing crime.

We plead for your assistance and thank you for your consideration.
