This Jamaican family would appreciate your assistance with their housing need as they are badly in need of a proper home. As you have seen in the pictures, the living condition is inhumane. The house is small, dilapidated and embedded with cracks and holes in the walls and wooden floor. Consequently, their bed has started falling through the holes in the floor. Their condition is considered to be inhumane, mainly because their toilet is in a vastly terrible condition. It's on the outside and is quite unsanitary and dangerous to use, especially for the children. The danger is due to the cracks in the wooden toilet seat and the unsanitary condition stems from the rising level of waste in the cesspool. The waste has risen almost to the top, where the seating area is. They are too poor to hire a cesspool truck, amids that, the road is too narrow, for a cesspool truck to gain access to withdraw the feces from the cesspool. They are practically forced to continue living in the said inhumane condition, since poverty and the rising cost of housing in Jamaica has rendered them incapable of being able to afford a new home. They are of the Seventh Day Adventist faith, however the church in the community doesn't have the resources to offer the necessary help. Let us give what we can, as little as one dollar from the little that God has blessed us with.
