You Matter Organization

Hello! I am Chang, a psychology instructor from a college institution in Digos City. Together with my psychology students, we always want to extend our advocacy to our brothers and sisters who have been challenged by mental health issues in our community. As helping profession, I always want these students to immerse themselves in community volunteerism so they may value their vocation, their sense of purpose and to be inspired in return and to inspire others.

Our organization is very young. We started it last year of December 2018. It was a happy experience for all of us. We generated the money by ourselves 0 and some friends and other acquaintances who were willing to donate helped us generate P20,000 pesos. It was a life changing experience for all of us! We never thought that there were also people who wants to help us even in their own little way.

Helping others is really contagious that we plan to do it this year. We pray that it will be possible. We believe that with strong will and determination, we will be able to conduct again it this year. We are very concerned of the alarming prevalence of mental issues and well-being issues in our community that even food or meals were scarce for these people.

We want to give them free lunch meals and water. We will be giving some talks about the importance of physical health and mental health through Structured Learning Experiences. We wish we can pack them rice, sardines and food goods so that they can share it to their families.

Because we lack funds, we knock your kind and loving heart to make this possible. Please help us make it through. Volunteering is a life-altering experience for these students and in our little way, we want to make their lives even for that very day, joyful and hopeful.
