About Me and OYW

My name is Aman Sanduja 25yrs. I am a budding entrepreneur working in the area of education and blockchain.I come with an engineering background and after my graduation, I have worked with startups to MNC to Non-profits,where i have been in position to inspire, encourage and contribute my leadership and tech skills.

While I was working at Non profit working in the area of education. I have witnessed extreme poverty, illiteracy and hunger. I believe we millennials have potential to make a real impact on the communities we live in and create sustainable projects for the future generation.

If I attend the summit, I will be able share my ideas with like minded people from all walks of life and compare to better our business and social projects which I participate and initiate. Despite the fact that I have to raise funds so that I can attend the summit, representing many youths in India. Since India is a country of youths, I’m sure with my experience at this event I will be able to share my ideas and contribute towards for a development of my country better.

Therefore, I would like to inform you that I have been selected as the most suitable candidate to represent my country India n this year's One Young World Summit in Bogota, Colombia October this year. One Young World is a Non-profit Organisation that gathers together the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make life lasting connections to create positive change in their companies, communities and countries.

During the Summit, more than 1300 young leaders from more than 190 countries will meet, where we will be able to be heard, express our opinions, concerns and propose solutions to fit the global issues of this 21st century.

What I Need

In order to be able to attend Summit, I must collect enough funds to cover up for OYW fees. This is where I'm asking for your help. I need to raise a total of USD 4000 by Sept 30th which will cover:

  • Hotel accommodation in Bogota
  • All meals and catering
  • On-the-ground transport in Bogota
  • All handouts and Summit support materials
  • Flight to and fro the summit** // I can bear the flight cost myself

Here is a copy of my acceptance and sponsorship appeal letter from OYW.

To whom it may concern,

This letter confirms that Aman Sanduja from India has been selected as a suitable representative of his country and generation for the One Young World Summit 2017, taking place from 4 to 7 October in Bogotá, Colombia.

One Young World is a charity that stages an annual Summit, which gathers together the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. The 2016 Summit in Ottawa welcomed 1,300 delegates aged between 18 and 30 from 196 countries. Unlike any other event, the Summit gives young people the kind of media platform and forum ordinarily afforded only to the leaders of nations and corporations.

Aman Sanduja has been selected as an outstanding candidate to attend the upcoming Summit on the basis of his capacity for leadership, concern about global issues, ability to generate and articulate impactful ideas, teamwork and evidenced commitment to volunteering or other extracurricular activities.

At the Summit, the most valuable young talent from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other forward-thinking organisations are joined by world leaders; the One Young World Counsellors. Previous Counsellors have included President Bill Clinton, Nobel laureate Kofi Annan, Sir Bob Geldof, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, Sir Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, Emma Watson, Justin Trudeau, Jamie Oliver, Fatima Bhutto, Unilever CEO Paul Polman and Mary Robinson.

Delegates debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the pressing issues the world faces. Following each Summit the attending delegates become One Young World Ambassadors and are charged to work on their own initiatives or lend the power of the One Young World network to those already in existence. Ambassadors have gone on to have an impact on issues ranging from education, global business, health, human rights, sustainable development and transparency.

We invite you or your company/organisation to sponsor him as a delegate for the 2017 Summit in Bogotá. This is a unique opportunity to play a part in inspiring the next generation of responsible leaders. The cost per delegate is £2,975 (GBP) ex flights. One Young World is a registered charity and makes no profit from delegate sponsorship.

We are delighted to give our approval to Aman Sanduja who has distinguished himself as an exemplary young leader. To sponsor Aman Sanduja, or to reserve a delegate place for another exceptional young person you may know, please contact our Partnerships team at [email protected].

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or require further information.

Thank you in advance for your contribution, however large or small.

Yours faithfully,

David Jones & Kate Robertson
