YOU REFOREST CYPRUS

We took the Initiative to make Cyprus GREEN. We are a non-profit independent organization "Prasini Aspida" with many actions since 1997 in Cyprus.

Some of our great missions:

We are publishing every month our Newspaper about environmental and human issues.We are collecting clothes, furniture or any first need products to give them to people they are in need. We have a continuous contact with schools and community organisations discussing for acts and omissions against our environment and our health.

Every year we organize an event named: "Environment we are sorry" aiming more environmental awareness. We give the opportunity to children, young people and every individual who wants, participate and express himself.

Our purpose is to inform, educate people for environmental and human issues but our priority is to ACT. We are characterized from our actions, and we want to introduce you, the first green Project in Cyprus. We as individuals, we are the only ones who can support our environment.

We Act for US, for YOU, for OUR CHILDREN.

Environmental pollution and climate change has a tremendous number of bad effects to us as humans. Huge areas of forest have been destroyed and that’s our only source of oxygen. With the “YOU FOREST Cyprus” project, we want to promote a new culture of balancing carbon dioxide emissions and other toxic gases with offsetting tree planting. We want to share this project and invite YOU to SUPPORT us. We have already begun the creation of a unique and innovative park in Cyprus with the aim of producing and cultivating trees and giving them free of charge to charities, institutions, schools, municipalities and communities with the aim of promoting the policy of balancing carbon emissions and other toxic emissions from companies that compensate for timber.

As a nonprofit charity we need support from people like you, who care for our future and want a green world. We now have 30.000 trees and we want to expand this number to 100.000. We want to raise at minimum the amount of 8000 Euros. That includes selecting a variety of more appropriate native trees, preparing the land, providing a professional planting team and volunteers and sourcing, delivering and planting. We don’t want the money per se, but we ask for your support and help us make our vision reality.

Our long term purpose is to build a community worldwide that will support each other, as a unity, for our common health and future. We will keep you updated on the project and our accomplishments. We need to connect people around the world and make actions that will stay forever. We are asking from you, to contribute to our Project and share it as far as wide as possible.
