Coppelia Circus (Mayu Hayashi), an adorable and world-known burlesque dancer, has recently announced in her blog that she has been diagnosed with cancer in both of her breasts and also in her left armpit lymph nodes. She has announced in the same blog that she will discontinue being on stage and in the show business while she is under serious operation and recovery.

This heart-breaking news brought tears to my eyes knowing how beautiful, sweet, charming, talented, attractive, diligent, devoted, one of a kind, at the top of her career, spectacular performer that she naturally is. (the list can literally continue forever) Despite all the sadness this news brought to anyone who has seen how dazzling and amazing she is on stage, she stays to be surprisingly positive, maintains to be the entertainer that she is, confident, eager yet calm, gracious, and ready to fight cancer.

I was left in total awe of her courage and beauty even at a time where she is made to decide to stop her entire career that she has been working so hard for and change her life dramatically. As strong and optimistic as she may seem, however, I will probably never be convinced that she doesn't have any fear towards the surgery, feel anxiety, nor wonder to herself “Why? Why can’t I make it go away?”

The thought of it couldn’t stop me from thinking about how I can help her. I urgently want to help her in a way that actually matters and helps to take off some of the stress and anxiety that she hides so well. If you have ever seen her contagious smile, shimmy across the stage with her joyful aura, reveal her stunning body in the silky way she does, I am sure you can easily relate to the value of this cause.
