Yorkshire Marathon for Mickey Ren

Hello and welcome to my Get Funding page.

As many of you know I undertake a lot of different running and adventure events but I rarely ask for sponsorship, however, recently a good friend of mine (Micheal Reynolds) was involved in a moto-X accident which has left him paralysed from the chest down.

This Sunday (20th) I will be tackling all 26.2 miles of the inaugural Yorkshire Marathon.  I wasn't signed up to compete in the event until two weeks ago when a good friend of mine decided he didn't want his place anymore and suggested that two weeks was easily long enough to train for the event!

Although (as I write this) I'm slightly regretting accepting the challenged knowing the pain that I will feel, probably, during, and defiantly after, its going to be worth it to raise some money to help make a young mans life a bit easier.

I raced with Micheal (before I hung up my boots) for many years and he's and exceptionally nice guy.  Below is a link to a news article with a photo of Mickey:
