Yorkshire Furries

We are a small animal rescue which is currently run from our home (family run). We take in small furries such as guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, hamsters, ect. Due to us using our home to take in animals we are restricted on how many animals we can take in. The idea of the shop is to be able to house all of the animals which are ready for adoption so that then we can use our home for quarantining animals. We will also be selling pet supplies so that customers can adopt an animal there and then if they would like. We will also do adoption kits for people who don't have the items needed to house the animal and this will include the housing, bedding, food, bowls, water bottles and a couple of accessories which might also be needed. We will also be putting some of the money earned from the shop into a vet/neutering fund which will allow us to neuter all of the rescued animals which will help lower the population of unwanted animals but also it will help towards vet checking and any vaccinations needed, plus we will also be putting other money aside from adoption/adoption kits so that we can buy fresh fruit and vegtable, plus dry foods for all of the animals within the rescue. We would also love to be able to do holiday boarding to allow owners to go on holiday and not worry about who is going to look after their pets.

As I said the fund is to be able to get a shop which would allow the rescue to be able to house all healthy animals ready for adoption, plus it will also be used to sell pet supplies which will allow people wishing to adopt and animal to come and adopt a pet but also they will be able to leave with all of the things they will need as well as keep coming back for other supplies. We have already found a shop which we would like to get which has the space we need as well as a kitchen for preparing the animals food. The shop we are wanting to get is close to a vets as well as different estates which are all walking distance to the shop, plus it also has free parking. It is all ready done out so there is no need for new floors or walls but shelving and housing for the animals may need to be added but we also ready have some housing for the animals which can be added.
