William Johnson is a colleague of mine and in September 2019 he and his wife Yolandi received the shocking news that she has cervical cancer. It is inoperable and the oncologist said that they will only be able to give her radiation and not chemo. They don’t have a medical aid and they have to survive on his salary alone. They have to depend on government hospitals and treatment. In the meantime her cancer has spread to her kidneys, spinal cord and shoulder. Because of that she can’t walk anymore and has to wear nappies. William works full time from Monday to Friday, they live in Reddersburg and he works in Bloemfontein, which means that he leaves home early morning and only return after dark. Luckily a lady in their town is helping Yolandi during the day with nappy changing and to exercise her legs, purely out of her good will. I know it is trying times for everyone but I’m praying that a Good Samaritan reads this and help them out. William’s car is giving a lot of problems and is not in a working state at the moment. This is their only means of transport. I’m hoping to raise enough money for them to cover all their medical expenses, day to day expenses and just to help them out with healthy food and nappies for Yolandi, it will give them a little hope in this difficult time.

Yolandi went for a check up
Update posted by Lorien Henning at 04:33 pmYolandi is very camera shy, that's why there is no new photos. She went to hospital today for a check up and her arm is broken. Because of the radiation her bones is very brittle. The can't opperate because she is to frail. It's an ongoing battle. Please keep her
