Hi, I am Amberlyn, a certified yoga instructor from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I quit my job in financial industry and went to India for my yoga teacher training course in October 2019. I made this craziest decision in my life with a determination to spread yoga to the community, to help and to inspire as many people as I could.
I initially started my master research in business studies in 2018 but decided to discontinue it. The decision made was due to the life inspiration I had from my India trip. In the past me, financial stability with high pay job was the right path to build my career pathway. Year by year, promotion by promotion, I might be at managerial position before 30 with comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle in city.
Life is always full of surprises and inspirations. It gives you something but meanwhile, it takes something from you away. My own life experience teaches me, do something for the community with my ability and gifted skills. Here I made a turning point in my life, switched to a new career path, embarked a journey starting from scratch and pursued my master degree in a totally new field of study.
I took up Master of Science in Sport Science as I would like to carry out my research about the anatomy, physiology and psychiatry. The journey is absolutely not the easy one but with the support from family and friends, I believe the determination will lead me to success. Here is the reason I relate my research topic to yoga and the kids who need the assistance the most in the community.
It is my initiative to go for the Yoga Training Course for Special Kids in order to carry out a research of yoga intervention in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) during Early Intervention in Malaysia.
No scholarship and/or financial aids for me to go extra miles by enhancing myself in Special Kids Yoga and here is the objective I would like to have people who are like-minded and financially stable to support me in attending the courses oversea for the purpose of designing a well-structured yoga programme for children with ADHD age between 4 to 6 in Malaysia by kicking off with my research.
If the campaign is successfully raised, I would go for the course in July 2020 organised by Yoga for the Special Child® in Singapore for Part 1 and in India for Part 2 to complete YOGA FOR THE SPECIAL CHILD 95H CERTIFICATION PROGRAM once fund raised hits USD2,690.

If the fund raised more than USD2,690 and hits USD4,035, I would like to go for the course in July to complete Radiant Child Family Yoga 95-Hour Certification (RCFY-95) by Radiant Child Yoga of Shakta Khalsa all in Sterling, VA, USA. It is another organisation offering the great course and guidelines on the yoga for special kids with great amount of emphasis in ADHD topic.

For the third option, I would use the fund raised to attend the courses in New York and India separately in June and October for the YOGA FOR THE SPECIAL CHILD 95H CERTIFICATION PROGRAM by The Sonia Sumar Method. The reason behind is due to the exclusive course offered (CPD - Early Intervention and Yoga) right after the Part 1 is informative and highly relevant to my research topic, if and only if the fund raised hits USD4,265.

The proposed timeline begins in June or July 2020 is due to the 3Q will be my second semester where literature review and data collection will be in place. Hence, the time is just nice to design the content of yoga program for the kids and carry out the research by 4Q 2020.
The success of the campaign does not stop here. Once the empirical research outcome proves yoga works for the special kids, I will continue to propose to all Early Intervention Centre in Malaysia by incorporating yoga into the existing curriculum. Gradually, the concept of yoga intervention for special children can be widespread to other country, starting from Malaysia to South East Asia, and to Asia or worldwide.
The dream is big but it starts small from here with the support from the worldwide community.
