Yoga for Seniors (and others)

WHO I AM - I am a retired United Methodist pastor, living in northwest Iowa.In recent years a practitioner of yoga. I have begun to feel strongly led to become a certified yoga instructor, in order to share the joys and benefits of yoga with others, with a special emphasis on senior citizens. As a ppastor for 33 years, the husband of a former nursing home CNA, and a senior citizen myself, I have knowledge of and concern for the special needs of this group. WHAT I NEED - To fulfill this vision, I need to complete training for certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and complete additional training for certification as a Chair Yoga teacher. I intend to complete this training through the 9-month program at Green Lotus Yoga Center in Lakeville, MN (or a similar program at Yoga Okoboji in Okoboji, IA), beginning in September, 2014. I will also complete additional training through the Chair Yoga course of Aura Health Center. FUNDING - In order to receive this training, I am seeking $4000 for tuition, books, and travel.
