Yoga for Mental Health Awareness

Hi! I'm Arafa Iddi.

I'm headed to Bali, Indonesia to further spread my wings of service under an SLV.Global mental health placement. As part of my trip I will be raising $2,400. The money raised will help cover my fees to Bali, where I will be staying for four weeks. And this includes;

1. Placement Acceptance Fee (£250) - that'll cover my homestay accommodation and meals, support from the Slv Global team, in-country training, adventure break around the local and transport during my stay in Bali.

2. Placement Fee (£1400)- that will cover my flight expenses, social visa, travel insurance, DBS and spending money while at Bali.

Mental disorders and psychosocial disabilities are one of the most pressing developmental issues of our time; frustrating the aspirations of families, communities and emerging economies. I currently volunteer at a Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Tudor, Mombasa, where i teach adaptive yoga to the clients. I use both my psychology and yoga background to help the clients who are on the spectrum connect with their caregivers and be in control of their mind and body. This placement program is a good opportunity for me to further my knowledge and skills to input in my practice.
