Yoga Field Trip

I'm so excited to be teaching a wonderful NEW Physical Education & Health course - Introduction to Yoga at St. Joseph SS. There are 25 beautiful grade 11 girls enrolled in the class and we are having a blast practicing yoga, breathing together, and creating community.  It's no secret that maintaining a positive body image can be quite a challenge for adolescent girls, who are going through extraordinary physical changes and learning to cope with hormonal fluctuations.  By practicing yoga daily these young women are learning to make a mind-body connection which will not only promote a better body image but also promote strength, flexibility, and even alleviate stress.

This spring, the International Yoga Conference is coming to Toronto. My class would like to attend this amazing event and participate in a 6 hour seminar but need YOUR HELP to make it happen. The costs are quite high and to help supplement the registration fee we are having bake sales at school. I'm also teaching karma yoga classes and most importantly, looking to YOU for donations. The date of the Yoga Conference session we would like to attend is Friday March 28th, 2014. Please support this new and exciting initiative.
