Year Round Animal Rescue Photography

I am a local pet photographer who donates much of my time to photographing local animal rescues adoptable animals as well as donating to their fundraising needs. (you can view my website here to learn/see more of what I do with/for the rescues) 

The rescues always receive disks/drives with all the images taken (high res.) with print rights to use to help with adoption as well as a video of the session with information on each animal up for adoption. I also share the adoptable animals on my various social media sites (youtube, vimeo, website, blog, facebook, twitter, pinterest etc.) I do shoots with them as often as they require/need/like not just one time and donate Gift Certificates and attend whatever/whenever I am able to towards their fundraising events. I often even volunteer my services photographing their events for them as well, also pro bono with print rights.

The bulk of my work (and the favorite part of my work) is working with these local rescues to help them to keep doing what they do so well....helping these animals find their forever homes. However, because the bulk of it is working with them and I am just starting out, funds can be quite tight and the bulk of my work is done outdoors during the good weather in late spring/summer and the start of fall as I currently do not have a studio location.

My goal is to be able to keep photographing with them throughout the bad weather season and by the spring, to also be able to attend some of the pet events where I can share about these rescues & adoptables at my booth. 

To do this I would need a few things to help keep enabling me to shoot year round. To start I need a speedlight and/or studio lighting to enable the best indoor shots we would be able to achieve. Other helpful items I am hoping to also save up for include: backgrounds, background stand, prints/canvas' (both for the shows as well as being able to donate for fundraisers), hydro gear (for shooting in the rain which it does 9 months of the year here in the pacific northwest), reflectors, remote trigger, office supplies, lenses, props & even eventually a better camera body (hopefully one that does video so I can also add this service to the rescues as well).


For events I would need tent (for the outdoor events), table/chair , banner, prints and other promotional items etc.

And finally, eventually, I would love to have a studio space where we could safely photograph rescue animals in a safe and quiet indoor environment.
