Yani’s Journey

Yani and her brother and sister grew up in a Honduras orphanage. Several years ago my aunt Jeannie met them there while on a mission trip and formed a close bond with them. Yani's brother was recently killed on their journey to a better life in America. Yani is currently detained in Lasalle Detention Center in Louisiana. Jeannie is willing to sponsor her but there are high costs to start the process with court fees and her bond. I know not everyone agrees with her decision to make this journey but we are also unaware of the fear that she has lived in and the strength that her journey has required.
