Campaign Story
Hello. My name is Wyatt Heideman. I am a junior at Belmond-Klemme Jr./Sr. High. I have been in Boy Scouts for about 6 years now and I am almost complete with the program. One of the last requirements in order to achieve the rank of Eagle is to take part in a service project. My service project is called "Veteran Pride." What it consists of is a Battlefield Cross Statue, which is the boots, rifle, and helmet of a fallen soldier, surrounded by a beautiful base. It will be built alongside the Franklin Grove Heritage Trail and along Main Street. We need to show our veterans and those who have fallen for our country that their service and actions haven't gone unnoticed. The total cost for this project is roughly $2,000, and I plan on having it completed before Labor Day. All donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
