Wright Family Needs a Home

I have a friend that really needs some help. She is married and has 4 children, ages 7 to 16. Her oldest child suffers from psychological problems, must see the doctor on a regular basis, and takes medications that are expensive. Her husband served in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 2000.

They were both layed off from their jobs and were forced to move into an old dilapidated 2 bedroom farmhouse owned by a family member that is letting them live there rent free, but they have to pay the utilities.  This house is not only way too small, but it is literally falling down around them. There are huge cracks in the walls and the ceiling is falling in. Duck tape has been used to keep the ceiling from falling in on them.  One picture I have attached shows the outside wall bowing out and it does this on both sides of the house. The other picture is of one of the bedrooms that 3 children sleep in and you can see in the upper left corner how the ceiling is falling in.

Both my friend and her husband finally found employment and have been working for several months now. They have been saving as much as possible so they can afford to move, but with 4 children to feed and cloth, it will take quite some time. 

She is a believer in Jesus Christ and has been trying very hard to leave things in His hands, have faith, and not be a complainer.  When she tells me about things going on, she cannot keep from crying, and I wish there was more that I could do. 

The only reason I have set the goal at $10,000 is because they have found a house that has been foreclosed on and they would like to purchase it.  However, if that goal is unreachable, just having a decent roof over their heads would be a blessing.

 Please help me raise the funds to help them move into a more livable place by sharing this post with as many people as you know. If 10,000 people each gave $1, we could reach our goal.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
