Claire received the most devastating news earlier this year, that she was suffering from a form of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) – a progressive disease involving degeneration of the motor neurons and wasting of the muscles, for which there is no cure.

On Saturday 1st August 2015 at precisely 2pm, former RAF pilot, Kevin Whyman, tragically lost his life when his jet plane crashed during a display show at the Carfest charity festival at Oulton Park, Cheshire

Boots Without Borders – a refugee charity – raised more than £3,500 and in doing so provided much needed footwear for refugees in Calais – a phenomenal 250 pairs of boots were collected, transported and distributed thanks to their donors.

Carroll’s financial situation meant she would not be able to attend her son’s Marine Graduation. However, after creating her fundraiser, donors ensured that not only would she be able to attend, but that some of her son’s bills were also taken care of.
