Campaign Story
Hello, my name is Jonah Cirillo, and I am raising money to travel to Luang Prabang, Laos on a service trip with my school (The American Community School of Abu Dhabi). We will be traveling in March of 2017 and plan to build an eco-friendly bungalow in a rural community so that the local economy can become more sustainable. The bungalow will provide one village the opportunity to generate their own alternative income from small scale tourism. This project will also provide the villagers labor opportunities for years to come.
The trip will be 8 days and will also include intensive learning in advance as well as the development of a presentation for my school and community upon return so that we can share our experiences and lessons learned.
