I am very excited to announce that I have been accepted to work as a volunteer at the 2015 World Scout Jamboree in Japan. I have been active in scouting (BSA) for 22 wonderful years. I started as a Cub Scout and continuted on and was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. I am currently an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 61 out of Mansfield Connecticut. As a scout, I participated at the 2001 National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill Virgina, and worked as a volunter at the 2005 National Scout Jamboree.
Because of my disablilities, I have been able to take only a limited number of college courses. My wonderful experiences in scouting has enabled me to expand my knowledge of people and the world. Making this adventure all that more important to me. I need your support to go on this big adventure. This fundraiser will enable me to raise the needed money to cover the volunteer fee in order for me to go. The volunteer fee itself is $2000, the air and travel expenses is $4000 for me to go volunteer at the World Scout Jamboree.
For a $15 donation I will send scouts and scouters a patch from my extensive collection.
