World Scholar’s Cup – Tournament of Champion

My wife's name is Dinie Mohd Noor and she is the Team Coordinator and Leader of the World Scholar’s Cup delegate from International Modern Arabic School (IMAS) Putrajaya.

16 years ago, the school was established and opened its doors to provide learning opportunities for the underprivileged and refugees. Fast forward to this current year, their school has grown tremendously and holds reputable academic and co-curricular accomplishments. At IMAS, they strongly believe in the school's main motto; Beyond Academic Excellence.

Her team comprises two trainers and nine aspiring scholars aged 12-16. They are on a mission to achieve their dreams in this year’s World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions at Yale University on 2nd-8th November 2023. They are actively looking for potential sponsors to help make the trip a reality. They are also in the quest to shape the world’s future leaders and need your kind assistance. In order to make the trip successful, they require financial support.

They are a team of 11 scholars and teachers. Our team combines nationalities of Malaysia, Syria Arab Republic, Pakistan and Bangladesh. An approximate RM 50 000.00 of total expenditure is needed for them to pursue this quest. They strongly believe this competition provides an invaluable experience and exposure to these students to showcase their talent in collaborative writing, team debate, and critical-thinking-based quizzes.

The students have persistently studied the curriculum over the past months and managed to win victoriously in the regional round (Penang) and the global round (Bangkok). On a last note, what began as a genuine intention to provide students with the right platform to practice their debating skills has transformed into a great milestone and series of achievements for these young learners. It will be an honour for me to share her dreams and aspirations with you, especially for the benefit of their bright future leaders.
