Campaign Story
Recently, there has been a lot of talk on the record for the most instagram likes when the world record egg account posted a picture which saw it overtake Kylie Jenner’s previous record of 18 million likes with a staggering instagram like count of 25 million. This got me thinking; why don’t we all collectively make a good cause go viral and make a world record that can change lives. Influencers already make so much money from our support with little effort on their part, what if we channel that support to something worthwhile and make a difference.
The task ahead is herculean, but I have faith we can bring it to reality. The present record for charity donations was set in December 2015 by PayPal. A total of $857 million in charitable donations overall was raised during the Christmas period. Donations were sent from 7.24 million people in 183 countries and a total of 258,759 charities were supported. I believe we can beat this mark due to how much the influence of social media has grown in the lives of individual worldwide. A single share from the right person is all a campaign need to go viral these days.
How much do we need?
Our goal is to beat the previous world record of $874,000,000 raised by PayPal in 2015 for charity donations, and every contribution helps. If you can spare $10, we appreciate it. If you can spare more, we welcome that too! Your support is going to make this goal possible. Every single dollar raised from this campaign will be given back to charities around the world. With your help we just might be able to save the world.
What else can we do?
Spread the word! For this campaign to go viral and make the world record we will need as much publicity as possible to reach the maximum number of people. You can promote this campaign aggressively by sharing our campaign link on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and any other media channels. This is our chance to actually change the world, so all hands are needed on deck. We appreciate all the help that we can get. Thank you!
