World Pipe Band Championships

World Pipe Band Championships   Hi, My name is Lachlan and i play and compete in pipe bands in Sydney Australia. I'v been playing competitively for 5 years but have played the drums my entire life. Since my sketchy and nervous debut 5 years ago i am now well known in the pipe band scene up and down the Australian east coast parts of New Zealand and Scotland and am regarded as one of the best up and coming drummers in Australia.  In August this year my band "The Pipe Band Club Australia" will head to Glasgow for 2 weeks to perform against the best pipe bands in the world. We will finish our trip competing in the world pipe band championships against roughly 25 international bands. No band in Australian history has ever taken out the top prize in our grade, to win will create a huge buzz for the pipe band scene in Australia and hopefully holding onto this title create a much needed respect amongst our peers around the world.   What we need: To achieve this i need to raise roughly $5000 to fund just my own travel and expenses of ; flights - $2200 Insurance - $150 accom for 2 weeks - $750 = roughly $55 a night food - $150 travel fees in scotland to get to grounds - 200 Total= 3450 the left over will go towards keep the drums cleaned and the skins fresh, uniform cleaned and pressed for every performance, personal tuition while there and other surprises. Any and all help, donations, keeping in touch on our journey in australia and or scotland, even other contributions like sponsorships will help to keep us focused on our one goal........   WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!
