On Sunday 15 July, we, the Overseas French Association of Hong Kong or "UFE", organised an event in a hotel ballroom for all French people and their friends to come together and support their team during the finale of the football world cup.
The evening was a huge success, except for some damages caused by some people : Beer on the floor, chairs, and screens ; and cocktail tables broken.
We are a non-profit association, all volunteers, and only aim at serving the community and helping others. We do not have any budget to pay for these damages, and need to raise over HK$40,000 for this purpose.
Reminder : We, the organisers, "only" did all the work to organise, as volunteers, and the whole ticket price was for the hotel, paid directly to the hotel. Nothing from the entry ticket was for UFE, therefore we had zero budget for this event. We even had some costs, like paying a photographer.
If you spent a great evening and keep forever lasting memories thanks to our event, if you feel for any reason that you should specially chip in for the recovery of the hotel ballroom, or even if you were not here on that evening but feel like showing some solidarity with this problem, please join this fundraising campaign and help make it successful.
We believe in a good image of the French people and also the expat community in Hong Kong in general, we believe we can be united and stand together when we have to.

Je n'y étais pas, j'étais invité et aurais pu y être... Je participe en solidarité, mais suis choqué par ces comportements. Je suggère malgré tout d'identifier quelques-uns des responsables et au moins les avertir même s'il n'y a pas de signalements...
