World Coffee in Good Spirits Brazil

Hello, my dear friends!

My name is Aliaksei, I'm 26yo guy from Minsk, Belarus. More than 4 years ago, when I was ready to graduate from the Linguistic University and to become a professional interpreter, and, at the same time, was working as a school English teacher, I couldn't even think of myself starting this campaign.

I left the teacher's job, graduated from the university and afforded myself two month summer break to think and to relax. After months of traveling and having fun, I took a risk and came to my favourite coffee bar in my hometown... to work. Long way of learning, of making mistakes, and fun stories and situations, but I fell in love with the place and coffee, and everyday smiling to people is really what I'm into. More than a year ago I again made an important decision - I tried to be a bartender, again from the ground up, but now I didn't left my barista work. So now, already for a year and a half, I do my best to combine my two worlds together - morning coffee smile and fun alcohol nights.

So I decided to take part in National Batista Championship, in the section "Coffee in Good Spirits" - it literally means making different drinks with coffee (my one world) and alcohol (my another passion). And I won. Now I'm preparing myself to represent my country, Belarus, in a World Coffee in Good Spirits in Brazil, Belo Horizonte, 7-9 November!! Looking back to the very start, I'm totally happy with my last 4 years. And I strongly believe, you should never be afraid to change something in your life, and that we must live the lives we want the way that makes us happy. And never give up and stop.

Some part of my expenses are to be covered by organisers of the championship, the rest is on me. Brazil is a different world, like another planet especially for me, for the person who has never been anywhere outside Europe. But travelling to another planet, bringing my unique coffee, and a lots of equipment and lots of different alcohol and whatever I need for my Brazil performance gets too expensive for me. I've already spent most my savings to cover the preparation and training period.

For making my Brazil dream real and to visit the main coffee producing country in the world I still need:

1300 Euro for travel costs (800 are covered by organisers, so 500 left (750CAD)

250 Euro (375 CAD) to cover extra nights of stay in Brazil (they cover only 4 nights of championship, I need 4 more)

100 (150 CAD) to pay for coffee I'm going to present there

100 (150 CAD) to buy alcohol and ingredients I need for my performance.

All other expenses like drinking and eating and souvenirs I of course I try to cover on my own:) So, to have an opportunity to present my story of combining two different worlds (coffee and alcohol), my vision, my drinks and myself to the world I really need your help - 950 euro (approx 1450 CAD, 750+380+150+150)! It's really a lot - for one person, but together we can change the world.

P.S. Why Canadian Dollar?:) On my PayPal account CAD is set as primary currency, and I can't change it now in Belarus, easy :)
