World championship dream

Hello, my name's Kateřina Halíková. I'm 13 years old and I live in Prague, Czech republic.

Competitive yoyoing is my passion. I've been yoyoing since mid 2019 and during the peak of covid I really got into it.

A modern yoyo is very different from jojos you probably know. It has a bearing inside and it spins. You can do complicated and difficult tricks with it. It's a great sport with a very friendly community and I'm glad I can be a part of it.

On June 24th being 12 years old, I won European yoyo championship in junior division (15 years old and younger) which makes me one of the youngest people and the first woman to ever win the junior division. I also placed second in the women's division. In November I won the Czech nationals in the women's division and placed 11th in the pro division competing against adults with many years of experience.

I started this fundraiser because my dream is to compete on the world stage and to go to the World yoyo championship 2023 in Osaka, Japan. I would love to compete with the best women in the whole world and I think it would be a really good experience for me.
