World Challenge – Belize 2019

Hi, my name is Skye Defoe, I am 15 and I have decided to sign up for World Challenge! a leading provider of life-changing school expeditions that is designed to bring local and global communities together to take action for a positive change.

World Challenges mission is to help with building 5 keys areas that they know will confidently and responsibly make a meaningful impact on impoverished communities. The 5 Key areas include:

Education
Sustainable livelihoods
Conservation
Water, health, and sanitation
Welfare and housing

I want to be part of this mission! In 2019 I have signed up to go and work with the local communities in Belize where I will work to help improve the lives of the local families in the towns, working with them to build a better future.

Through this trip I know I will also be taking away skills to better myself & future - independence, helping to support others, gain confidence and become more globally aware.

For me to move forward with this mission, I need to raise £3000, the money will be used to help pay for my transportation and accommodation, but most of the funds will be going to primary resources to help build the community.
