For more than thirty years, I have enjoyed researching and contemplating heartfelt questions and complex issues. My emphasis upon everyday human experience and rethinking our most basic assumptions, means that clients have valued my ability to bring something new and fresh to the table.
Now, I am exploring a subject near to my heart - virtues - and exploring their relationship with our working lives. The field of positive psychology sees these character strengths (such as compassion, patience and humility), as core to what it means to be truly human.
I believe that in-depth study or heartfelt conversations focused on a well chosen virtue can help to highlight an effective way forward when individuals, project teams or organisations are going through a crisis.
So, I propose to research a different virtue each month for a year and use this work to draw together a community of interest dedicated to creating human-centred projects, communities and organisations.
(1) All donations are put towards the research, even if the target is not met.
(2) Suggestions welcomed for any changes to the above proposal.
